Services
The Matrix staff has extensive
experience in addressing environmental issues in facilities.
Matrix uses staff members that are North Carolina Accredited
Asbestos Inspectors and Abatement Designers.
Surveys – Matrix’s asbestos
surveys are performed by experienced Accredited Asbestos Inspectors.
Our surveys performed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local
regulations. Our surveys typically identify the types and locations of
materials which contain asbestos, and recommendations concerning
abatement options.

Management Plans – Matrix can perform Management Plans in
accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Actions (AHERA)
regulatory requirements for schools. Our Management Plans typically
are performed to reassess and update the existing Management Plans for
the school systems and identify changes in material which may create
hazards to occupants. Matrix can also provide initial management plans
to private industry as well.
Abatement Designs - Matrix has extensive experience in
providing asbestos abatement designs for clients. Matrix’s approach is
to provide a full service consulting services. A typical package will
include technical specifications for asbestos abatement, CADD
generated asbestos abatement plans delineating locations of
asbestos-containing materials to be removed, and contract documents.
Matrix will lead the pre-bid and pre-construction meetings, make site
visits to ensure work is being performed in accordance with the
contract documents, and provide a final written report summarizing
project activities.
Air Monitoring – Matrix provides
Accredited Air Monitors working under the supervision of a Supervising
Air Monitor to collect ambient, personal, and final clearance samples.
Samples can be analyzed using either Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM)
or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Matrix maintains a
proficiency rating of 100% in the American Industrial Hygiene
Association Proficiency Analytical (AIHA-PAT) Program. Our in-house
laboratory capabilities allow us to provide fast an accurate analysis
of airborne asbestos exposures.
